There are a number of very important steps in the production of the painted ceramic tiles.
1: Firstly, I use ceramic inks to hand-paint directly onto an unglazed ceramic tile using techniques I have developed over many years.
2: When the hand-painting has been completed the tile is dipped into a transparent glaze. It is then placed in a kiln and fired at a temperature of 1100 degrees centigrade over a nine-hour period.
3: After firing, the finished tiles can be mounted in frames or used individually for laying on kitchen and bathroom walls.
